Exeter Resource Corporation, through its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration of mineral properties in Argentina and Chile. It explores primarily for gold, silver, sulphur, iron, arsenic, copper, lead, and zinc. The company has option agreements to acquire 100% interests in La Cabeza project, a gold exploration property, located approximately 370 km south of Mendoza city in west central Argentina; and 100% interest in CVSA gold exploration properties in Patagonia. It has an agreement to acquire 100% interest in Maricunga projects that include seven properties in the Maricunga region of Chile; and Estelar projects, namely the Quispe, Rosarita, Dolores, and El Salado/Llanos Ricos projects that cover approximately 385 sq km in central western Argentina. The company also has an option agreement to acquire Agua Nueva, La Ramada, and Rosarita South projects with 45 mineral concessions located in the Mendoza, San Juan, and La Rioja Provinces of Argentina. Exeter Resource was incorporated as Square Gold Explorations, Inc. in 1984 and changed its name to Glacier Resources, Inc. in 1987. The name was further changed to Golden Glacier Resources, Inc in 1988; and to Exeter Resource Corporation in 2002. The company is based in Vancouver, Canada.
