First Majestic Silver Corp. engages in the production, development, exploration, and acquisition of mineral properties focusing on silver in Mexico. It owns a 100% interest in La Parrilla Silver Mine covering an area of 280 hectares, which is located approximately 65 kilometers southeast of the city of Durango, Mexico; and a 100% interest in San Martin Silver Mine, which is located near the town of San Martin de Bolanos on the Bolanos River in Northern Jalisco State, Mexico. The company has options to acquire five mining concessions comprising approximately 195 hectares, which are located approximately 55 kilometers southeast of the La Parrilla Silver Mine; and five mining concessions and one mining exploration concession located in Chalchihuites and Zacatecas, Mexico. It also has options to acquire 10 concessions comprising 204 hectares located in Chalchihuites; and 100% interest in seven Quitaboca mining claims located in the State of Sinaloa, Mexico. The company was formerly known as First Majestic Resource Corp. and changed its name to First Majestic Silver Corp. in November 2006. First Majestic Silver is based in Vancouver, Canada.
