Imperial Metals Corporation engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and production of base and precious metals in North America. Its primary mineral properties include Mount Polley open pit copper/gold mine, which is located 56 kilometres northeast of Williams Lake, British Columbia; Sterling gold property that is located 185 kilometres northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Nak property, which is located in 75 kilometres southeast of Atlin, British Columbia and consists of 2 mineral claims totaling 1,632 hectares. Imperial Metals also owns 50% interest in the Huckleberry open pit copper/molybdenum mine, which is located 123 kilometres southwest of Houston, British Columbia. The company was founded in 1959. It was formerly known as IMI Imperial Metals, Inc. and changed its name to Imperial Metals Corporation in 2002. Imperial Metals is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
