Quadra Mining, Ltd. engages in the exploration, development, and production of base metal properties in Canada. Its principal property, Robinson Mine, is an open pit copper and gold mine located in eastern Nevada, approximately 11 kilometers west of the town of Ely. The Robinson Mine consists of three mining areas, which comprise the Liberty, Tripp-Veteran, and Ruth pits spread across approximately 14 kilometers east to west and 8 kilometers north to south. The company also owns interests in the Carlota project, a late stage development copper project, located in the Globe-Miami Mining District of Arizona, covering approximately 5,400 acres; and Sierra Gorda project, located in the Atacama desert, comprising 6 contiguous properties that cover an area of approximately 19 square kilometers. As of January 1, 2006, the Robinson Mine had proved and probable reserves of approximately 145,516 tonnes of copper and gold. Quadra Mining was founded by William H. Myckatyn and Paul M. Blythe in 2002. It was formerly known as Quadra Resources, Ltd. and changed its name to Quadra Mining, Ltd. in 2003. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
