Quaterra Resources, Inc., an exploration stage company, the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties in the Americas. It primarily focuses on uranium projects in Arizona, copper in Nevada, and precious metals in Mexico. The company holds a 50% interest in 19 mineral concessions, covering 13,198 hectares located in northern Zacatecas, Mexico; a 100% interest in a prospective gold silver mineral concession, covering 2,100 hectares located in northern Durango, Mexico; and a 100% interest in 140 mining claims in the Duke Island property that covers 1563 hectares on Duke Island, which is near Ketchikan in Alaska. Quaterra Resources also holds a 100% interest in the Big Bar project, a volcanogenic massive sulfide prospect that consists of 7 state mining claims covering 453 hectares on the Seward Peninsula, approximately 45 kilometers northeast of Nome, Alaska. In addition, it has an option to purchase mining claims located in Arizona, Utah, and Wyoming; and the right to earn an interest in the MacArthur claim that comprises 66 unpatented mining claims in the Yerington district of Lyon County, Nevada. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
