Ridge Mining plc engages in the exploration and development of its platinum group metal projects in South Africa. Its principal projects include Blue Ridge, which is situated primarily on the farm Blaauwbank, approximately 30 kilometres Southeast of Groblersdal; Sheba's Ridge that is on the farm Loskop Suid, approximately 20 kilometres south of the town of Groblersdal; and Fountain Ridge, which is situated near Brits on the western limb of the Bushveld Complex. The company also holds interests in other projects, such as Fonte Verde project that contained within a Bushveld Complex satellite body located approximately 50 kilometres Southeast of Pretoria; and the Red Bush Ridge project covering 4,462 hectares. The company was founded in 1996. It was formerly known as Cluff Mining plc and changed its name to Ridge Mining plc in 2004. Ridge Mining is based in London.
