Southwestern Resources Corp., a development stage company, engages in the identification, evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of mineral properties in Peru and China. Its mineral properties consist of gold, silver, and base metals. The company's properties include the Boka Gold project that covers an area of approximately 153 square kilometers of exploration concessions and mining leases in Yunnan province in China and the Liam Gold-Silver project with 367,000 hectares of exploration concessions in the southern portion of the Peru Tertiary Volcanic Belt. Southwestern Resources has interests in Antay project (porphyry copper) covering 53,000 hectares and oxide-zinc-silver-lead properties known as the Accha-Yanque project covering 16,500 hectares in the southern Peru. It also holds interests in an area of approximately 76,000 square kilometers in Yunnan and Sichuan provinces, China. In addition, Southwestern holds equity interests in various mineral exploration companies. The company was incorporated as Southwestern Gold Corporation in 1990 and changed its name to Southwestern Resources Corp. in 2001. Southwestern Resources is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
