The company, formerly known as Willow River Gold Corp., was founded in 1985. It changed its name to Pine Channel Gold Corp. in October 1987; to Consolidated Pine Channel Gold Corp. in February 1991; and to Star Uranium Corp. in May 2006. Star Uranium is headquartered in Saskatoon, Canada.
